With the release of Windows XP, one new feature was added to it i.e Hibernate. You might have used this feature. It allow you to save all your work as it is, while you turn off. And when you again turn on your system, you find the same screens as it was at the time of turn off. Its much like pausing or keeping in hold your system while powering down. And when you again power on, its got unpause or unhold.
What is Hibernate Mode Actually ?
When you shutdown or restart your pc , all the program and all files got closed first and when you start it again, you find all program closed. But in Hibernatemode, while turning off your system, all your programs and files are active, and are in the memory . So when you start your system again from Hibernate mode, your all active program remain active and paused.
But in Windows 8, you will find only Restart, Shutdown and sleep option in power menu. Hibernate option is hidden or disabled from power menu in Windows 8. I did not understand why they have disable such a useful feature ?
But don’t worry, you can easily enable this awesome feature.
