Google and its partners are very serious about expanding the number of Chrome OS products available for consumers. Chromebooks are the most symbolic Chrome OS products, and we have recently shared with you the news that Dell has launched its very first Chrome OS laptop, the Chromebook 11. But now, LG has announced the world’s first all-in-one computer that will be running Chrome OS.
LG is only announcing the Chromebase, as the official unveiling of the product will happen during next month’s Consumer Electronics Show. Chromebase is a 21.5-inch all-in-onecomputer with an unnamed Intel Celeron processor, 2GB of memory, and 16GB of solid state storage. The monitor has a 1080p IPS display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. LG says that the monitor delivers accurate color reproduction, stunning contrast and an impressive 178-degree viewing.should let you use it as a monitor for another computer. LG is targeting schools, hotels, call centers, and other businesses and organizations with Chromebase. The main selling point of Chrome OS seems to be the fact that you can log into any Chrome OS computer and retrieve your content stored in the cloud. The all-in-one Chrome OS computer also comes with a pair of built-in 5W speakers that will offer clear and powerful sound and music .Chrome OS will bring the following Google apps to Chromebase, such as Gmail, Drive, Search, Maps, YouTube, Play or Google+ Hangouts. LG has yet to announce a price for the new Chromebase All-in-One PC, but the pricing is expected to be somewhat in line with Chromebooks.
